12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over original Schmitt pink plaster pate, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere, straight wrists and cupped hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield) 000 (on head) 000 (pate and wig) Sch (derriere). Comments: Schmitt & Fils,circa 1882, Value Points: superb smaller model with very expressive features, beautiful bisque, original wig, pate, body, body finish, and antique costume that may be original.
