8" (20 cm.) All-wooden brown-complexioned character with two-part swivel head, black painted hair, painted facial features, black eyes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined teeth between the lips, jointing at shoulders and hips, wearing original grass skirt with leather belt, and with barrel balanced on head. Excellent condition. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1909, from Teddy's Adventures in Africa series, the grass-skirt model is all original with especially fine painting, very rare few examples known to exist.
