Including oval brooch with gold-plated frame and necklace chain loop, and having lapis lazuli back, with exqusitely crafted design of tree and memorial stone with inscribed message "Not Lost, but gone before", the entire scene accomplished in the remarkable art of hair applique. And glass-enclosed brass-framed hair-embroidery brooch depicting garlands, shield and little locks of delicate blonde curls. Excellent condition. Mid-1800s.
