Description
Included in the archive are 59 hand-typed sheets concerning the construction of 59 different Ginny costumes (each costume named), with intricate instruction of each sewing detail, along with an assortment of various small fabric pieces and trim for Ginny costumes, a small group of actual pattern cutouts, and with "Outline of Student's Lessons in Singer Sewing Skills" with specific lesson plans. Also included is an official time card for "Home Worker's Handbook" with handwritten records of pieces that were made and the price paid the worker for each; intricate pieces (one is identified as #7174) were tedious, requiring 13 hours to construct only 4 pieces, while in other instances, 5 pieces (such as #1701) were completed in 4 hours. The name of the home worker appears on the time card, as well as the signature of Jennie H. Graves, and the date 1/14/57. A fascinating lode being offered from the original family of the home worker.
