15" (38 cm.) Solid domed head with flanged neck, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, brunette mohair wig, original body with classic humps at front and back of torso, wooden lower arms and legs, shaped jester feet, straw-filled legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (anchor mark) France. Comments: Lanternier, circa 1900. Value Points: wonderful all-original condition of the classic French Polichinelle figure, with lavish silk and lace costume with gilt trim, matching cap.
