7"l. excluding propellers. Tin lithographed airship with gilt-banded yellow color, two suspended cabins, blue celluloid propeller at the stern, and starting and stopping bolt. The airship operates from a string mechanism attached to the propeller which is activated by the keywind mechanism at the base and "slowly travels round and round. . .choosing its own flight path" according to original advertisements. Very good condition, some lithography scratches, mechanism functions but lacking string. Lehmann, EPL model 651, the airship was specifically inspired by the maiden voyage of the Graf Zeppelin in which Lehmann had invested. Circa 1915.
