Description
16" (41 cm.) A fancily woven basket has rose silk-lined lid and a bottom tray, and is filled with little bisque doll dressed as Marquis with inset glass eyes and closed mouth, along with a tinier all-bisque doll, and a bounty of accessories including fan, opera glasses, trinket box, jewelry, tiny book, mirror and more. An original paper shop label of "Fakita, Paris, Poupees Articules et Dormeurs" is attached to a silk ribbon at the front. Generally excellent, French, circa 1890, wonderful presentation basket with rare little pieces.
