The earthenware figures have sculpted hair and facial features, painted complexions and facial features with well-detailed accents, sculpted and painted hair, and original costumes, each pair mounted on original wooden base with ink-script paper labels indicating the region of India or various ethnic group, which include Chetty, Tanjore dancingo, Numbooy, Coraveno, and Malayabi Sudras. Generally excellent. Late 19th century, outstanding detail of facial and hair modeling with well-rendered painted accents.
