11" (28 cm.) x 8". The wooden box with rosewood veneers is decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay designs, and hinges open to fitted interior featuring a padded leather drop-down writing surface, velvet-covered pin cushion, and wooden lidded niches, along with various mother-of-pearl writing and sewing tools including pens, unusual scissors, letter opener and more. Excellent condition. Mid-1800s.
