Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich sienna complexion, brown painted eyes, painted lower lashes, black brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with firmly-set accented lips, black mohair wig, sienna-complexioned composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1303 S&H 3 Germany. Comments: Simon and Halbig, the rare 1303 model was made in several variations including both sienna and white complexions, and painted or glass eyes, this example depicting Native American. Value Points: especially fine detail of sculpting with deeply furrowed brows and fret lines around the mouth enhanced by flawless complexion with subtle blushing, choice bisque, original body and body finish, original costume, rare larger size.
