Description
13" (33 cm.) Seated upon a red velvet-covered base with ebony wooden feet is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, dark eyeliner, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, carton torso and legs, metal upper arms, bisque forearms, holding a decorated wooden guitar. Condition: generally excellent, one finger tip broken. Comments: Vichy, circa 1860. When wound, and lever released, the guitarist turns her head side-to-side and strums the guitar, while two tunes play. Value Points: the daintily-seated lady with lovely bisque expression, executes her musical moment perfectly.
