8" (20 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with elongated throat and slender oval face, black painted pate, painted blue eyes with black upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig, hand-stitched slender kid body, painted blue flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent, craquelure on shoulder plate. Comments: French, circa 1840. Value Points: the elegant lady has original finish, and owns five old hand-made costumes, in early wooden box with cast handles and hinges.
