17" (43 cm.) tallest. Included is early doll with paper mache solid domed shoulderhead, heavy eyelids, enamel eyes, gentle expression on original all-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, large hands with defined fingers, and partial original early costume; 9" Grodnertal peg-wooden doll with painted hair and features, painted red corset and kid-over-wooden lower torso; two 5" Grodnertal wooden tuck comb dolls with painted hair and facial features, wooden articulated arms, and having original nun's costumes with padded pincushion skirts; German wooden flat-back doll poupard with painted swaddling costume; and two early carved wooden heads with missing components. Condition: red corset doll and two tuck comb are excellent, others sold as is. Comments: Germany/Italian, early 1800s. Value Points: an interesting study group with intriguing details of expression and construction.
