Description
5" (13 cm.) A painted tin toy portrays a gentleman steering his open-top three-wheel automobile, painted yellow and blue, he with long grey driving coat and hat that he holds in his hand. Seated behind him is a uniformed young black boy that holds a stars and stripes decorated umbrella over the man's head. When coil-spring wound, several actions occur: wheels turn moving the auto forward or sideways, the man keeps lifting his hat to greet passers-by and the umbrella twirls. Possible repaint, functions well, some minor paint wear to lithographed umbrella design. Comments: Lehmann's EPL model 345, circa 1925.
