Description
10" (25 cm.) A black man with vividly colored lithographed costume including yellow sun hat and vest, red tie, striped trousers and fancy dancing shoes, is posed upon a decorated stage, suspended upon a metal rod. His arms, hips and knees are loosely jointed, allowing him to dance in a realistic and skilled manner when coil-spring movement is wound. Excellent condition, functions well. Marked Lehmann. Comments: Lehmann's EPL number 690, circa 1912, depicting an early minstrel dancer, was a modified version of the 1910 American patented toy of Walter Hendren.
