9" (23 cm.) A brown-uniformed driver of a three-wheeled motorcycle is pulling a detachable two-wheeled cart in which is seated a woman wearing a long red suit and red brimmed bonnet with feather. The carts have lithographed finish, the costumes are painted. When coil-spring wound, the driver pedals rapidly and erratically, moving his arms, legs and head, while "the anxious bride" waves her arms and rises up and down as though anxious to depart the car. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Marked Lehmann. Comments: Lehmann, EPL model 470, the toy was introduced in 1901,the brimmed hat model being an early version. One of Lehmann's sisters was nicknamed Nanni and her impending marriage may have inspired the toy.
