Description
18" (46 cm.) Paper mache socket head with solid bald dome, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth with sculpted brown moustache, five-piece paper mache body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Fleischmann and Blodel, circa 1895. Value Points: rare doll with fine original facial complexion, wonderfully sculpted moustache, and wearing his factory-original black woolen military costume with row of brass buttons and shoulder epaulets, black kidolene knee-high boots, and matching black brimmed cap with gold braid.
