Description

5" (13 cm.) A fantastical toy features two large tin spoked wheels that support a two-seated apparatus, a white man holding a steering wheel and a black man holding the drive shaft seated at either side. When coil-spring wound, the vehicle zig-zag rolls in an infinitely changing manner, the figures bouncing up and down and moving their arms. The toy combines lithographed wheels and car, painted figures. Excellent condition, mechanism functions well. Marked Lehmann. Comments: Lehmann's EPL movel 640, circa 1910, in the special patent for the drive shaft Lehmann claimed that the toy never repeated its course.
