Description
18" (46 cm.) Thick wax over paper mache shoulder plate, brown glass eyes, painted facial features, closed mouth, blonde fleecy original mohair wig, muslin body, waxed paper mache lower arms and legs. Condition: fine unplayed with condition albeit typical age lines in wax, and fading of facial features. Comments: Germany, circa 1880, the doll wears a splendid rose silk twill gown richly encrusted with metallic thread embroidery, lace sleeves, undergarments, leather shoes.
