19" (48 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with blonde sculpted hair in deep waves behind the ears and captured into a loosely rolled chignon decorated with black ribbon whose bow cascades onto her nape, sculpted forehead bangs and ringlet curls above the sculpted ears, painted facial features, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque forearms. Condition: professional restoration to back shoulder plate. Comments: Germany, Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1870, the doll wears a superb antique cotton gown, undergarments, leather shoes, brooch.
