11" (28 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with pale complexion, dark shaded blonde sculpted hair waved away from face into wide bands of curls framing the face, with pronounced widow's peak at center forehead, captured by a snood at back of head with blue ribbed headband and gilded rosette medallions at each side, painted facial features, blue eyes, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower limbs, painted boots and stockings, nicely costumed in antique gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, right thumb broken. Marks: II. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, rare coiffure with three decorative elements (snood, blue band, gilt rosettes) in appealing petite size.
