Rare German Bisque Lady with Three Sculpted Roses

24" (61 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with very pale complexion, blonde sculpted hair in very unusual coiffure, with rolled halo curls around the crown above marceled waves at the forehead, ringlet curls behind the sculpted ears, and two clusters of curls on either side of a chignon at the back; the hair is decorated with three pink roses and there is a painted cross and black ribbon at her throat. The lady has painted facial features with pale blue eyes and solemn expression, old leather body with wooden lower arms and legs, antique gown. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875, very rare model in fine large size.
