17" (43 cm.) Fine porcelain shoulder head of adult lady with slender face and elongated throat, midnight-brown sculpted hair looped low over the ears into a chignon formed of four rows of narrow braids and decorated by a faux-tortoise shell painted and sculpted hair comb, painted facial features, blue eyes, aquiline nose, muslin body, porcelain arms to above the elbows, antique gown, undergarments with matching chemise, slip, and pantalets with embroidered initials, leather slippers. Condition: generally excellent, slight paint rub on comb frame. Comments: Rorstrand, Sweden, circa 1845.
