Description
8" (20 cm.) Each is of carved wood on wooden base with large working wheels, and each is decorated in rich colors in fantastical style, including elephant with hole for insertion of rider, cat-like animals with yellow stripes and long tail, and superbly decorated horse and saddle. Each is individually carved and painted, an excellent representation of folk toys from the Indian or Indonesian East. Early 20th century.
