Description

8" (20 cm.) Each has paper mache head with painted facial features, muslin body, carved wooden or terra cotta limbs. Condition: generally excellent, man with nose tip rub. Comments: French, circa 1880, the dolls are wearing their original fishmonger costumes from the north of France, highlighted by accessories such as the woman's basket of fish, and the man's fishing net and barrel; the woman has a lovely facial expression and curious gold dangle earrings.
