Comprising a boxed set of wooden blocks, 14" x 18" named "Jeu de Construction" with superb engraved images on the numerous blocks depicting aspects of buildings, along with color-heightened engravings of building that could be constructed from those blocks; an engraving of children and mothers playing with the game is shown on the cover, circa 1850; and 10" x 14" boxed set of three jigsaw puzzles of French historical sites and personages with fine lithographed details, circa 1880. Excellent condition of contents of both, boxes worn.
