A large lithographed tin ocean liner is decorated with ocean waves at the bottom appearing to splash against the sides of the ship, ochre yellow and red ship sides with a number of gold-framed faux-portholes, gilded edging, passenger walk with lithographed-faux-wood flooring, two floors of passenger cabinets with lithographed designs, three smoke-stacks, two tall and two short flag poles with tin pivoting flags designed to wave in the breeze, four tin wheels on the underside designed for pull or push play. The cabin area of the ship hinges open for access to large empty tin interior, that may have been used for storage of toy or other treasures when the boat was not in play. A lithographed anchor and the word "Holland" is on the side, and in small letters the ship is signed "j.Bekker & Zoon, Dordrecht (Holland)" . Excellent condition with few very minor paint flakes, some minor color fading. Circa 1920.
