28" (71 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with light blonde hair waved away from face into an elaborate and voluminous curled arrangement at the back, with braided border at the nape, narrow braid at the crest, and two forehead ringlet curls, partially sculpted pierced ears, deeply set eye sockets, painted facial features, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms, antique woolen gown, undergarments, slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875, especially fine quality of sculpting of facial features and hair.
