Description
15" (38 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, all-over bald pate, enamel inset eyes, closed mouth with downcast lips, tinted beard stubble, tow-wrapped armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted red stockings and brown shoes, wearing original costume comprising green silk jacket and red vest with gilt edging, blue short pants. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
