Description
18" (46 cm.) Standing upon a velvet covered base is a bisque head lady with brown glass paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cork pate, bisque shoulderplate on lady-shaped paper mache body, bisque forearms. When wound, music plays and she alternately lifts her arms. Condition: bisque head and shoulderplate excellent, restoration to bisque hands, mechanism functions slowly, some fraility to original costume. Comments: Roullet et Decamps, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful face, the lady wearing her original silk costume in the late 18th century style.
