7 1/2" (19 cm.) Carved wooden male dog posed as though about to lunge, curled tail, enamel eyes, painted cream coat with brown spots, defined rib cage and ears, carved open mouth with defined tongue and teeth. Excellent condition, some rubs to original painted finish. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, attributed to the workshops of the Vassallo Brothers.
