12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full lower cheeks, wide-eyed amber brown glass paperweight eyes, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique costume including leather boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: M. 2 B. Comments: Mothereau, circa 1882. Value Points: rare early closed mouth bebe especially in this petite size, with distinctive wide-eyed expression, finest bisque, original body and body finish.
