Description
10" (25 cm.) Each has composition head with painted facial features, side-glancing googly eyes and impish smile, the dolls with firmly-stuffed muslin body jointed at shoulders and hips, and the pup with brushed-wool body, jointed legs and stubby tail. Condition: very good, some few minor rubs. Marks: Copyright 1910 by E.I. Horsman (label on tummy of larger doll) Puppy Pippin Trademark E.I. Horsman (label on tummy of pup). Comments: Campbell Kids and Puppy Pippin, designed by the American artist, Grace Drayton, under commission from Horsman, circa 1915. Value Points: delightful trio with captivating expressions, the larger doll in very rare size and with original costume.
