13 1/2" (34 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead portraying lady with tilted-back head, brown sculpted hair loosely drawn back into coiled bun and captured under a sculpted white head scarf, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though open with teeth and tongue tip, sculpted very buxom bosom, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and shapely legs, painted blue stockings and brown clogs, wearing original costume comprising homespun skirt with metallic thread border, silk apron, green silk jacket with metallic thread and lace embroidered center panel. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, early 1700s, the rare model with unique details of hair, hair ornamentation and generous bosom.
