16" (41 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead depicting young lad with plumply-modeled cheeks, blonde sculpted hair with shoulder-length deeply-incised blonde locks curled up at the edges, enamel eyes, slightly-parted lips with row of sculpted teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, wearing early blue cotton and silk costume with silver metallic edging and white cotton shirt. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s, especially fine detail of modeling on the prosperous-faced young lord.
