Rare German Bisque Character Set by Kestner in Larger Size and in Original Box

19" (48 cm.) Presented in original box base is a bisque-head complete doll and three additional bisque heads. The doll has blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, and is wearing factory-original muslin chemise with lace and ribbon trim. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany G 7 1/2 171 10 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910. Value Points: in fine unplayed with condition, the set includes the original three additional bisque art character heads, each with blonde or brunette mohair wig, painted brown eyes, and closed mouth, and each with variation of expressive mood (smiling, somber).
