Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, delicately-painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, elegantly shaped nose with accented nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden early body with straight wrists and plump modeling. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5. Comments: Kestner, circa 1889, the model is known as the "A.T. Kestner" indicating its resemblance to the French bebe by Thuillier whose market the German firm attempted to capture. Value Points: wonderful petite size of the sought after doll has flawless bisque with beautiful painting of features, original wig, body and body finish, and wearing lovely antique costume comprising rose silk dress with lace trim, ruffled edge lace bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes, socks.
