Description
12" (30 cm.) 13". Earthenware shoulderhead in downcast pose, well-defined tousled curls, enamel eyes, impressed age wrinkles, strong nose, sculpted beard, hemp-wrapped body, earthenware lower arms and legs. Condition: structurally excellent, one finger missing, finish very scuffed on hands and feet. Comments: Neopolitan, early 1800s. Value Points: especially fine detail of face, beard and hair, original costume, and posed on original wooden stand.
