13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of young lad, his head tilted upward, deeply-sculpted unruly curly brown hair, inset enamel eyes, sculpted ears, open mouth with modeled upper teeth and tongue, firmly-padded torso and upper limbs, carved wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, wearing original burgundy velvet jacket with gilt edging, tapestry-woven silk vest, black short pants. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, especially fine detail of sculpting and artistic painting of complexion and features.
