18" (46 cm.) Composition socket head, blue/green sleep eyes, painted lashes, real lashes, dark eye shadow, feathered brows, closed mouth, brunette mohair looped braids with red ribbon ties, composition five-piece body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Margaret O'Brien Alexander (cloth tag on costume). Comments: Alexander, circa 1940, portrait doll of the popular child film star. Value Points: the doll has fine original complexion with soft cheek blush, and wears original tagged faille red dress with lace hem and pockets, matching undergarments, socks and shoes, and has original clover leaf wrist tag, navy blue woven bonnet with flowers, and has original gold wrist tag and added gold paper label with autograph of Margaret O'Brien.
