18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very plump cheeks, large blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden body with ball-swivel waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: H. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the early and rare variation of his smiling model poupee, on original wooden body deposed by Bru in 1867. Value Points: well-preserved doll with fine original finish on body, lovely bisque and expression.
