7" (18 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of aged man, bald pate with sculpted grey curls at sides and back of head, incised age wrinkles, enamel eyes, closed mouth with downcast lips, strong jaw and cheek bones, tow-wrapped armature posable body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, wearing brocade silk laced vest, silk shirt, brown velvet pants, woven cap, and leather shoulder strap. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare tiny size with original costume.
