18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted facial features, small brown painted eyes with black upper eyeliner, lightly-arched small brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the lips, painted brown boyish hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique woolen boy's suit and cap, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 BSW (in heart) 2042. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: outstanding modeling of double chin, eye crinkles, and impressed cheek dimples enhanced by finest quality of bisque, original body and body finish.
