5" (13 cm.) x 3 1/2" book. The cardstock-covered miniature book with hand-tied binding encloses the story "Emma ou La Bonne Petite Fille" by Augustin Legrand, published in Paris in the early 1800s, and contains five chapters of the child's story book. Each chapter is accompanied by a cut-out engraving depicting a scene from that chapter, and with four interchangeable heads to accompany each scene. Excellent condition. French, circa 1820.
