21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent, hidden flake low on neck socket. Comments: Simonne (original stamp on torso). Comments: French, circa 1868, the portrait like poupee was sold by the Parisian luxury doll shop of Simonne. Value Points: very beautiful face whose pale bisque contrasts the brilliant blue eyes, antique costume.
