Description
Lithographed tin trumpeter riding a horse on wheeled green platform. While the right side of the toy is normal the left side has some historically significant factory flaws; the lithography is several centimeters off, as is a die-cut gap meant to be between chin, arm and trumpet as clearly seen on the right side, indicating proof that the order of construction is lithography, then die-cut, then joining. Green wheeled base bears "horse and cart" insignia, and lithographed saddle blanket bears "M" of Meier as well as "Made in Germany". Excellent condition aside from original factory flaw. 2 1/2".
