Description
Lithographed tin alligator with movable extremities allowing for the appearance of an alligator's slithering-like movement. The green, with yellow highlights, alligator is actually three pieces: a scaly-embossed center torso piece with two sets of wheels; a forward piece attached by wire comprising its head and two front legs; and a rear piece attached by hook comprising the tail and two rear legs. The head piece is marked "Germany", and the torso is marked "From the Universal Theatres Concession Co Chicago, ILL" on one side and "A Souvenir" on the other side. Since Einfalt is known to have done quite a bit of business with the Universal Theatres Concession Co, the toy can be reasonably attributed to Einfalt. Excellent condition. 5".
