Description
11" (28 cm.) All-composition with socket head and jointing at shoulders and hips, eyes, mohair lashes, open smiling mouth, row of teeth, dimpled cheeks, original blonde mohair wig in ringlet curls. Marks: Shirley Temple Cop. Ideal N&TCo 11 (head) Shirley Temple 11 (torso). Condition: fine unplayed with condition, light craze line on right leg and cheek. Comments: Ideal, circa 1935, known as the "dancing dress", similar to a costume worn by Shirley in early publicity photographs. Value Points: impeccably-preserved wig, and in unplayed with condition, wearing original pink pleated organdy dress with blue bows, original tag on dress, undergarments, socks and shoes, and preserved in original box.
