9" (23 cm.) Terra cotta earthenware elderly man with bald pate, sculpted grey curls at sides and back of head, enamel eyes, rounded nose, closed mouth, chin stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, wearing original costume comprising embroidered laced vest, shirt, flannel vest, sash, blue pants, and pushing a wooden wheelbarrow of bundled wood. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
