Description

A heavy pasteboard box with hand-tinted engraving on the lid depicting two mothers and four children at play in a park setting, titled "Les jeux Enfantins, Children's Games" contains five double-sided paper dolls: two mothers, boy, girl and toddler. There are 9 double-sided costumes with egg-wash finish (at least one for each doll) and four hats. Very good condition, box lid darkened, one mother bent at neck and base. The box is labeled H. Duru, editeur and lithographed by H. Jannin. France, circa 1850.
